The talent pool in this year's American Idol is crazy crazy good. I've been following since week 1 and thru Hollywood Week up to the Top 13, tons of excellent singers have been cut. It's just that good.

A real highlight for me was the wildcard on Thurs where Stefano Langone sang for his life with his rendition of Smokie Norful's I Need You. Super gospel tinged song and I found it surprising that Stefano could even pull it off.




A few weeks back after the group auditions, Casey Abrams blew me away with his version of Georgia On My Mind. Totally digging the double bass!




Last but certainly not least was Pia Toscano in the group auditions with Bruno Mar's Grenade. Awesome awesome vocals...




I've been really far far away from AI all these years. The last time I remembered following closely was during Season 3 I think. Heheh... The past few seasons have been a real bore (except for Carrie Underwood, David Archuleta and Adam Lambert's seasons).

And the judges. Oh the judges! Wat a breath of fresh air! Having ppl who can actually sing like Steven Tyler, eye candy J.Lo:P and Randy. They provide the much needed boost and facelift that AI needed. Kinda not missing Simon.

So yeah, expecting a really good season ahead and hope my favourites make it far!
