class
This week marks the start of the Fall semester. With it comes cooler days, more students on campus and of course the start of classes.
Not taking too many this sem, just Biostats and Comparative Therio. rest of the time will be focusing more on research work.
Attended my second class for this wk (I'm taking this as an audit) - Ruminant Medicine and Surgery. The lecturer was none other than my SV. He talked about umbilical problems and also septic arthritis. It was crazy how much information I could get from that one class. And also the presentation was really good and I kept my focus throughout the entire 50 minutes of it. It was amazing.
As I sat there in the class, in between scribbling notes, I was thinking to myself how lucky I was to be able to be here and attending lectures like this. How I wished that my classmates had this opportunity back when we were DVM students. How I wished that the current batch of DVM students could have the chance to attend the lectures like this and be enthralled and have such a wealth of information given to them. I do not know how the students here feel. Whether they just take these for granted or that they truly appreciate the education system here. Or do they just don't know?
I hope to be able to bring back at least some experience and give some good lectures to the students in the future regarding all things ruminant:) I appreciate every moment that I have here.
